Digital Photography and Imaging Final Project (Self-Titled)

Process :D

We were tasked to create a poster using a portrait of ourselves using what we have learned from three subjects; Typography, Digital Photography and Illustration and Visual Narrative, in which we had to incorporate the typeface we made in Typography weeks prior.

I first created a sketch of my poster concept:

We had our photos taken in the design lab, and I ended up with this picture of myself, and also used another picture taken during a trip I had with my family, but cropping everyone else out (Out of respect for their privacy):

I did not bother to do anything such as wear any make-up for my initial photo, because I didn't feel like it was necessary based on the idea that I had. 

I then put together all my ideas and created a rationale containing my moodboard, improved sketch, and plans for this project:

I did end up not leaving any part of my head, because my younger sister said the thought of it was too gory for her, so I decided not to. 

I then created a poster according to my sketch and my ideas, with the editing (The frame in place of the iPad, editing the photo in and the bloodstain, removal of my head, addition of the clouds and the coloring) being done in Adobe Photoshop, and the liquid, along with the addition of the text with my own typeface that I made previously was drawn in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool.

I then animated myself slowly floating in the water while the liquid sort of moving in the background:

I unfortunately had little to no time for feedback due to time constraints and such (I was on a literal trip to Japan while working on this), so I'm just hoping the results were good enough.
