Everything Everywhere All at Once
1. Which part is act 1, act 2, act 3 respectively?
Part 1 (Everything) is considered act 1 of the movie. It revolves around Evelyn struggling in her life because everything just seemed to be going wrong. Alpha Waymond then comes to her universe and tasks her with saving the multiverse, because it is being threatened by Jobu Tupaki (Or Alpha Joy) and gains the ability to jump through universes. Unfortunately, Alpha Waymond dies in the process, and Evelyn splinters and collapses.
Part 2 (Everywhere) is considered act 2 of the movie. It revolves around Evelyn seeing herself in other multiverses after her mind splinters, then Jobu telling Evelyn that she simply wants to find an Evelyn that understands her nihilistic worldview where nothing matters. Evelyn is almost convinced and suddenly acts crueler in her multiverses and hurts the people around her, but she listens to Waymond who asks her to be empathetic instead of fighting. This causes Evelyn to have an epiphany towards Waymond and change her mind. She manages to repair her relationships with Waymond, her father Gong Gong, accept Joy and Becky's relationship and Deidre allows them to do their taxes, along with fixing the damage she caused in the multiverse and they manage to save Jobu from getting sucked into the everything bagel and reassure her that she will be by her side.
Part 3 (All at once) is considered act 3 of the movie. It shows that the Wangs' lives is picking up, their relationships healing, and Deidre mentions that they are having improvements, and Evelyn reminds herself of her promise with Jobu.
2. What is the inciting incident in the movie?
At the peak of her stress, Alpha Waymond showing up to ask Evelyn for help.
3. What is the midpoint scene in the movie?
Evelyn falling into Jobu's mindset and being cruel to people around her
4. What is the Climax scene in the movie?
Evelyn trying to repair the damage both within her family and also from other multiverses.
5. What is the theme of the movie?
Family and the choices we make in life, and that even if it feels like nothing matters, we should make the most out of it and we can choose the thing that matter to us.
Lalin
1. Which part is act 1, act 2, act 3 respectively?
Act 1 is Lalin monologuing about her life and struggles as a Net Idol. She faces many insecurities growing up because people started calling her "Miss Meteorite" throughout high school due to her acne.
Act 2 is Lalin meeting a person named Nut online after hiring Lalin to translate his work to Japanese. They start growing closer, and Lalin develops feelings for him. They decide to meet up, but Lalin changes her mind last minute due to her insecurity about her face. She reads the book and realizes that Nut was a person that she has met before and was once like her too.
Act 3 is Lalin thinking about everything that has happened, she runs and tries to go after Nut, but it's too late.
2. What is the inciting incident in the movie?
Nut messaging Lalin online about translating his book.

Lalin and Nut deciding to meet up

Lalin finally getting to read Nut's book

Even when the world is superficial, how we affect other people's lives truly matter morr.
