Character design

Design notes:
=> I tried to make her look more youthful considering she's supposed to be around 16-17 years old, but also took away the light from her eyes to reflect her unstable mental state.
=> She wears a dark red raincoat to protect her clothes from blood splatters. The dark red color of the coat also helps to conceal it.
=> She does not usually dress like this! She usually wears less revealing clothing and has neater hair. She's wearing a revealing outfit here to, again, prevent blood splatters and so she's less likely to get recognized. Lots of people get caught committing crimes by wearing stuff they were wearing during the crime after all...

Project 1 - Character Blockout

Notes about sculpting:
=> No eyeballs yet
=> I adjusted the head shape later on, as I felt like it was too wide
=> No toes because she's gonna wear boots covering them
=> I tried to make sure that her stomach wasn't completely flat

Other:
=> This was when I began having issues with ZBrush, it started here when I had too many programs open which was understandable to the point where it was even crashing when I wasn't doing anything else on my laptop.

Project 2 - Character Detailing

=> I added small cutouts to her boots and gave them tiny heels, along with changing their shape so the top kind of resembles a heart (Which isn't really visible but I promise the intent was there).
=> Machete as preferred weapon
=> Added a plaid pattern on her shorts
=> Made her hair a more muted-purple hue. It kind of looks like an illusion of being brown
=> I also made her cup size smaller when I was detailing, to be honest they were that size in the blockout because I drew them like that but I did not mean to make them that big in the first place
=> Made her skin less pale because the skin being pale made her look like a corpse (And also because of feedback from Mr. Kannan)
=> She has (barely visible) eyebags

Final submission

Notes:
 => Grey background to make it ominous, but not too dark since the lighting of the model was quite bright. I don't entirely like the look of extremely contrasting gradients so I only added a subtle light at the right
=> I wanted to add blood, but decided to just make it a silhouette on the wall to not be too distracting
=> I couldn't make texture sheets in it's entirety due to technical issues

Reflection:
=> I had a ton of technical issues and sometimes I just felt like I was genuinely out of it
=> Using Zbrush (And 3D sculpting by extension) would be fun if things aren't going horribly wrong; Throughout the timespan of me starting project 1 to when I finished the final render I never managed to go through a single session without ZBrush crashing unless I was doing an exercise in class
=> I think everything would have been easier if Zbrush wasn't crashing so often (Even when I didn't have any other windows open it still crashed a lot. Maybe I actually do need a new laptop...)
=> Blogger is still a pain in the ass like always
