Environment Design 23.09.2025 - 08.01.2026 Jolin Ceria (0363784) Environment Design Bachelor of Design (Honors) in Creative Media Moodboards      Going into this, everything was tricky as I was already using an unconventional shape for a room (Dome), hence the first moodboard. The second moodboard was for the vintage + medieval style that I wanted to go for, but in the end I sort of leaned more towards vintage. Initial layout sketch What the hell was I doing here man Layouting       Rooms.xyz layout and the angle I ended up using for my composition (Excluding the outside wall obviously) Final composition and ambience The telephone chair adds to the vintage aesthetic, and I added the triangular details on the walls as most dome rooms contained that.

Environment Design 23.09.2025 - 08.01.2026 Jolin Ceria (0363784) Environment Design Bachelor of Design (Honors) in Creative Media Moodboard To be honest, up until maybe week 4 or 5 (?) I wasn't sure what the hell I wanted to do. I tried to come up with ideas and was constantly drawing blanks. Admittedly, I'm not the best when it comes to coming up with ideas for a setting I did eventually come across the concept of an underwater village and was like "Ooh that sounds cool", and since mushrooms grew underground and I kept seeing peculiar mushroom houses, I used those on a whim too. Composition The first drawing was made before I stuck with the "mushroom house" idea, I initially wanted it to be a normal house, but then changed my mind last minute for it to be an inn.   Some more close-up views of the first mushroom house Mr. Kanaan suggested that besides adding crystals, I should add some sort of cultural elements to the house, as it looked very plain. I di...

Environment Design Exercises

Environment Design 23.09.2025 - 08.01.2026 Jolin Ceria (0363784) Environment Design Bachelor of Design (Honors) in Creative Media Perspective   Some brief perspective practices; I figured I could take a shot at doing a five point perspective, I'd say I did an okay job, but I definitely do need to practice more, especially using human figures instead of just boxes/houses. Silhouette sketches Not technically an exercise; These sketches didn't really have any direction, as I made them before figuring out what I wanted exactly. I decided to take these and combine them into an exterior later on. Values Practice Mr. Kanaan said that the house blends in too much with the grass and flowers and I should hold them, and I agree; I did that because I did not want the house to be too light, but it ended up making the house almost hidden I feel like. I drew the waterfall white to emphasize the presence of water, although I probably could have used a different method rather than just us...

The dark red color of the coat also helps to conceal it .   => She does not usually dress like this! She usually wears less revealing clothing and has neater hair. She's wearing a revealing outfit here to, again, prevent blood splatters   and so she's less likely to get recognized. Lots of people get caught committing crimes by wearing stuff they were wearing during the crime after all... Project 1 - Character Blockout Notes about sculpting:  => No eyeballs ye...

Anatomy and Human Sculpture 23.04.2025 - 04.06.2025 Jolin Ceria (0363784) Anatomy and Human Sculpture Bachelor of Design (Honors) in Creative Media Exercises Ex 1 - Pose deconstructions   Notes:  => I used boxes and cylinders since they were simple => I was advised to try and make the volume consistent throughout  Ex 2 - Skeletal system Notes:  => I've drawn a full skeletal system back when I was like 15 in like 10th grade. I'm doing it again and it's equally as painful as it was last time => Decided to make the one in the second image simpler Ex 3 - Muscles Notes:  => To be honest I didn't draw two separate muscular system for the masculine and feminine bodies, I just duplicated and tweaked them => I should've focused on leg muscles too instead of just the arms...  Ex 4 - Head studies Notes:  => I used Bonehilda from the Sims  (Specifically Sims 3) as a reference for the skull images because she was the first anatomica...
